The Chinese Community Health Resource Center (CCHRC) was established in 1989 as a private, non-profit community center. The Center’s mission is to build a healthy community through culturally and linguistically appropriate preventive health, disease education and management, and research programs and advocacy. Since its inception, the Chinese community of the San Francisco Bay Area has come to recognize CCHRC as a leader and principal source of culturally competent health education programs. Over the years, CCHRC has launched numerous culturally and linguistically appropriate health education programs, which were considered first in the nation, namely:
- Chinese-speaking “I Can Cope” cancer support group
- Men’s Health Day
- Women’s Health Day
- Chinese Community Fitness Day
- Comprehensive Chinese patient navigation program
- Comprehensive bilingual health information website
CCHRC is partially funded by Chinese Community Health Plan, Chinese Hospital, Jade Health Care Medical Group, as well as Grant Programs, and Donations. We count on YOUR generous donation to enable us to continue providing programs and services to the Chinese community locally, nationally, and globally.
