- 2021 SBM Citation Abstract Award, Society of Behavioral Medicine. “A Culturally Tailored mHealth Smoking Education and Cessation Intervention to Engage Chinese American Patients”.
- In 2011, Community Health Resource Center received Certificate of Honor by Board of Supervisors from City and County of San Francisco
- In 2011, CCHRC’s Multidisciplinary Chronic Disease Education Management program was recognized by the Agency for Healthcare Research, Health Care: Innovations Exchange.
- In 2009, CCHRC received certificate of Honor for Asian Alliance Against Domestic Violence by Board of Supervisors from City and County of San Francisco
- In 2009, Angela Sun, Ph.D. has received Volunteer Certificate from American Cancer Society
- In 2009, CCHRC received Certificate of Honor for Art of Mind Project by Mayor Gavin Newsom from City and County of San Francisco
- In 2009, CCHRC received Certificate of Honor for Art of Mind: From Art to Health Project by Board of Supervisors from City and County of San Francisco
- In 2007, CCHRC’s diabetes education and management program, titled “Diabetes Self-management: A Cultural Approach” received a Recognizing Innovation in Multi-Cultural Healthcare Award by the National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA).
- From 2006 to 2008, Angela Sun, Ph.D. has completed a fellowship in the Community Academic Research Training Alliance (CARTA) Program from University of California, San Francisco School of Medicine Department of Psychiatry
- In 2006, the CCHRC bilingual website received a Recognizing Innovation in Multi-Cultural Healthcare Award by the National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA).
- In 2001, the American Association of Health Plans honored CCHRC with a Community Leadership Award.
- The American Cancer Society awarded CCHRC an Honor Citation for developing the nation’s first Chinese speaking “I Can Cope” support group in 1992.
